I have dread extensions so it would be difficult for me to use myself for the tutorial. Instead, I'm going
to use my friend Matt. say hello to Matt :p. this will be the way you start out, with your hair just out.

Next put you hair in pigtails. Make sure the pigtails are HIGH ON YOUR HEAD! It will put less stress on your
hair because the falls are on top of your head instead of hanging off the sides. Plus, when you put on falls
low they cover less of your hair and tend to look like silly droopy dreaded ears. Make sure the pigtails are
sturdy and tight (but not uncomfortable). You might want to use hair gel to make the ponytails neater looking.
Use a strong hair tie, not a rubber band.

Next twist your hair around and then wrap it around the ponytail to make a bun. You can secure the bun with
another hair tie or pins. i hate pins, so i recommend a hair tie. keep in mind how high the buns in the photo
are, they are basically on top of his head.

|
next lay the fall on your head, the elastic should be around the bun you are going to tie it to and the dreads
should be hanging over the other side. this way you can see what your tying in the mirror.

tie the elastic tight so that the fall will stay on. You may want to double dye it to insure that the fall
wont come off. if you tie it well and get a dread count that has enough dreads to cover up your bun you wont
need any pins! that's a big plus.

|
flip the dreads over the bun you just tied the elastic around and your done with that fall :). Do the same
steps to the other bun with the other fall.

Now vogue! (optional ;p)

extra tips
|
try to get falls that have colors similar to your hair color. If
they aren't similar in color then wear a bandanna, headband or goggles
on your head to camouflage. (we sell head bands and goggles here in the
accessories section, and you can find bandannas a local store like
walmart)
